Lilyford’s Dundee House wins 2 prestigious property awards!

As an independent builder for Lilyford to win just one of the UK’s leading and most prestigious property awards would be a huge honour. To win two is something we’re incredibly proud of so we wanted to tell you a little more about each of the awards. What House Awards 2020 – Bronze Winner in the Best Retirement Development category.
These awards are the ‘Oscars’ of the UK housebuilding industry – they’re the country’s largest event that celebrates the very best new homes. We were up against stiff competition from some of the best-known names in our sector so we’re over the moon to be recognised alongside those big names such as The Audley Group and Churchill Retirement Living.
In their report the judges said,

“Dundee House in Midhurst, at the heart of the South Downs National Park, is a well-thought-out scheme of 16 one- and two-bedroom apartments. This vibrant development wins points for its light and airy good looks…. Lilyford, a local firm, has clearly taken a thoughtful approach to every level of detail – from keeping the heating system simple to operate, to making all apartments ready for superfast broadband.”

UK Property Awards 2020-2021 – winner in the Residential Development for Sussex category.
Lilyford’s entry was recognised for the steps we’ve taken to ensure Dundee House complements Midhurst’s beautiful architecture and heritage and the ways we’ve integrated safety and security, sustainability and cutting-edge technology into every apartment. Most importantly though it highlighted Lilyford’s whole ethos around later-life living and how community is everything.

For Lilyford community is about building homes at the heart of market towns so you have everything you need on your doorstep to really make the most of life when you downsize. It’s also about creating apartments that have generous space for entertaining friends and family as well as communal areas where you can get together with your neighbours to enjoy a coffee or simply pass the time of day.
